Thrive Therapies Group is Hiring a Special education teacher Near Cleburne, TX

Imagine a school with every support students and teachers need for sustainable and joyful work. Every student has full access to a counselor and mental healthcare.

Nurses, support staff, teachers, and leaders work in concert. Every student learns about themselves and others. Families are assets and partners.

Academic excellence is the norm. Every student enters meaningful post-secondary education.

For Special Educators, the school, its leaders and staff see you as the expert and specialist you are. Leaders prioritize specialized professional learning opportunities and give you the release time to think, grow, and flourish.

Where is this unicorn school? We've found it, so you don't have to. As former teachers, we are committed to carefully identifying school partners who share our vision and have a track record of supporting special education teachers better than anyone else.

You are invaluable, and you deserve the very best job match (we like to think of it as a mission match).

We are currently matching great special education teachers to our great, mission-aligned partner schools.

We are specifically looking for licensed special educators with 3 years of experience to join our 24-25 cohort in the Dallas-Fort Worth region. Roles include :

  • Elementary - both self-contained and inclusion / co-teaching
  • Middle Grades - both self-contained and inclusion / co-teaching
  • High School - inclusion / co-teaching

Upon hiring, you will have prioritized acceptance into Thrive's 24-25 special education teacher cohort. You will recieve :

  • Professional development specific to special educators facilitated by national special education experts and centers on learning and inclusion.

You will recieve one week of learning prior to school starting and quarterly sessions, which you will be paid to attend and given release time so you can focus on your own professional goals.

Elevated coaching and support. You have experience. You have expertise. You deserve a different level of coaching to be the educator-self you desire. We got you!

Put differently, we are offering a new way to do this work. Choosing to work with Thrive means choosing (1) a special educator job in one of our high-performing, unicorn partner schools and (2) specialized training rooted in development that is *actually* impactful, useful, and immediately applicable to your work (at no cost to you).

Other things to know :

  • We only partner with schools we believe in. These are places that are good for our kids and good for the specialists who serve them.
  • If we wouldn't teach there, we don't partner.
  • If we wouldn't teach there, we don't invite you to.
  • This work is beautifully meaningful and hard, and like us, you chose it for a reason. We support you, so you can impact kids, families, and communities for the long haul.

We invite you to apply today!

Requirements :

  • Current, active teacher license in TX, with special education endorsement or certification
  • Residency in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area.
  • At least 3 years of experience serving as the teacher / case manager for students with disabilities
  • Demonstrated track record of supporting students in meeting their IEP goals
  • Experience in facilitating individual, small, and large group instruction
  • Proven results in investing students in goals, progress monitoring toward those goals, and celebrating successes
  • Successful partnership with families and caregivers
  • Articulated strategies for collaboration with general education teachers, related service providers, school staff, and leaders
  • Obtain and pass a background check

Employment Structure : Teachers will be able to select from our curated placements and select the best fit. Yes, we know it's usually the other way around.

We're changing things.

Our Mission

Thrive is on a mission to revolutionize special education in the United States. We provide results-driven therapies and related services to children with diverse needs, removing barriers to academic achievement and well-being .

Thrive is steadfast in our commitment to serve traditionally marginalized populations, with a particular focus on the intersectionality of race and disability.

We believe health and well-being are critical in establishing conditions for learning, and schools can't do this work alone.

We lock arms with mission-centered leaders, schools, and districts to deliver highly effective care and services driven by data and designed to get results in both the treatment and classroom settings.

We're an education organization with a singular focus - closing the equity gap.

Thrive's team has garnered numerous national, regional, and local awards, including National Teacher of the Year Finalist, Middle School Teacher of the Year, and Community Advocate of the Year.
